Medical University of the Americas (MUA) has earned recognized accreditation, enabling our students to be eligible to practice in all 50 states of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and other countries. Our accreditor, the Accreditation Commission on Colleges of Medicine (ACCM), is recognized by the World Federation of Medical Education (WFME), and its standards have been deemed comparable to the standards used to accredit medical schools in the United States by the U.S. Department of Education’s National Committee on Foreign Medical Education and Accreditation (NCFMEA)
Located on the beautiful island of Nevis, MUA’s 10-acre campus boasts modern classrooms (including a dedicated on-campus test center), fully equipped laboratories, an extensive library, and an island hospital where students can get clinical experience early in their basic sciences studies. Outside the classroom, students enjoy well-appointed dorms and gym facilities, plus all the amenities of Nevis life, including a weekly fresh produce market and the stunning beaches Nevis is famous for. MUA has a growing network of more than twenty-five teaching hospital affiliates in the United States. Students also have the option of participating in clerkships in Canada and the United Kingdom. Unlike some of our large competitors, MUA has more than enough clinical rotations for our student population, so students do not need to wait to be assigned to a rotation.
